| Bio: | My day job? A professor of biology, with a specialization in animal behavior and tropical ecology. At night and on weekends, I am a novelist and a flamenco dancer. I have two blogs I invite you to visit: Heroines of Fantasy and EOLYN I write speculative fiction, mostly fantasy. My short stories have appeared in Zahir, Adventures for the Average Woman, and 69 Flavors of Paranoia. My novel EOLYN, was workshopped on the Next Big Writer and is currently available from Hadley Rille Books . In addition to fantasy and science fiction, I also like literary fiction, historical fiction, real history (especially women in history), and commercial fiction. I'm a careful reviewer, and you can expect detailed feedback if I read and comment on your work. I try to write encouraging but critical reviews, and I tend to focus on issues of character development, style and plot.
