Summary:

Joey finds his house ranksacked and his mother dead. With help of neighbors and friends he learns who the perpetrator is and then takes action. The story could actually be used as the first portion of a novel I wrote. This is my first post and as a newbie I want the reviewer to be critical, brutal. Let me know whats good and whats not. Ivan's first night out as a new cabbie takes an unexpected detour

This poem is about a memory I have from watching the folks waiting in line at the front of a methadone clinic some years back, most especially the man who played the stop sign with his carved drumsticks until the place opened. Bangin' Joe (that's what they called him) was apparently a vet that never made it out of the bush. The government dole of methadone was all that kept him stable. The cops let him be, because it truly wasn't worth the madness to bother him, and he was just one of those inevitable things if you had to line up for clinic every Tuesday morning for a weeks dose. The odd thing was, he was GOOD with those sticks. Everyone would be rocking to his rhythms, and I expect it soothed them all. A little slice of special in the middle of a death spiral. I never had to walk that path myself, but the girl I was helping showed me some things, let me tell you. I never forgot the scene. Tear it up please:)
