 | Grade and Dump | Odin Roark | Poetry | 2 | 0.00 | Feb 4, 2012 |
Summary:Part editorial, part trying to make lyrical this chameleon masquerading as...? Gaffs aside, the basic core of this man comes out when lack of thinking deludes him to assume no one is watching. Somewhere along the coast of San Diego… “Mitt Romney is planning to expand his $12 million beach-front home.” For sure, there’s little to argue about. This guy is an opportunist making the moral and principal theory of "Powers of Ten" seem like grade school math. Chapters: |

 | FULL BLOWN ADDICTIONS | vsworld | Novel | 0 | n/a | Jan 31, 2012 |
Summary:Addiction, the search for self, an identity, eternal truth. Recovery. Tragedy, comedy. Well, the book is poetic and has heart, raw, original, real. Timely. 2012 is still a sub plot but this is much more than that. It is Native themed but want it to be universal too so working on that too. Some times our heart is in the right place but our mind is not an ally, especially when it abuses substances to alter what lies beneath the surface. Thank you for reading. ZChapters: |

 | Ya Wanna Sell Books Don't Ya? | Odin Roark | Poetry | 4 | 0.42 | Nov 20, 2011 |
Summary:Okay, yes, it is difficult at times to not be cynical. Front page attention...the Natalie Wood brouhaha trumps the Deficit–Reduction Committee's deadline to self-destruct. With due respect for the dead, which is the greater scam? The "captain's" recall in time (30 year anniversary) to promote a book, or the Super Committee's promotion of sympathy for its incompetence and impotence? Oh, and let's not forget the shared ka-ching the media is anticipating. So...had to ground some angst here. Indulge me in this rant not even trying to be a poem.

 | Ode to Coffee | Janet Taylor-Perry | Poetry | 7 | 0.66 | Oct 9, 2011 |
Summary:This is a little tongue in cheek "ode" for my prize pupil on here. :) It's just to show an ode doesn't have to meet the standard of Keats or Bryon, just follow three simple rules. 1. Be a tribute; 2. Be at least 3 stanzas; 3. 1st stanza sets the style for the others to follow.
Just grin along with me with a nice cup of coffee in your hand.Chapters: |
